I read this poem by Gurumayi repeatedly. It reminds me of my responsibility to myself, and also reminds me of how I feel as I’m looking at pictures of the Siddhas. Those pictures also stir deep awareness of myself.

In these magnificent verses by Gurumayi, I particularly focused on the line in which she says, “To radiate this joy outward is entirely in your hands.” I realized on reading this that the happiest times of my life have been when I gave joy to others. My great practice now will once again be sharing joy!

For me, all of sadhana was encapsulated in, and illuminated by, this one poem. It tells me that God has entrusted each one of us with his essential nature, and it is my duty to honor that trust by constantly striving to experience and to radiate God’s love.

This poem feels like my Guru’s command to me. Every word made my being vibrate. As I began to shed deep tears upon reading the last line, I thought, “This is the Truth. This is the Truth. We are all connected.” I then stopped my tears and realized I must live these words that ring so true and deep to me. Then I will be better able to help uplift the world by living Gurumayi’s teachings from this poem.

What a profound invitation and gift Gurumayi has given us to begin our new year! The poem made me realize that while I have so much love and gratitude, I need to make certain additional efforts in my daily life to help me attain the state of awareness, love, and joy that is within my grasp.
This poem is giving me so much to contemplate. I am so grateful to Gurumayi for her compassion. Her words have already lifted an inner cloud from my mind.

This amazing poem was the answer to my prayers. I have been seeking guidance as to what direction I should go in, and what action I should take, in an important situation in my life. The guidance I received from this poem aided me in taking the actions that I had hesitated to take. As a result, I am experiencing joy and freedom of mind, body, and spirit. And I feel confident that the action I took was the right one for me.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for this teaching, and for your direction, blessings, and grace.

Once again, with simple clarity and gentle guidance, Gurumayi has shed light on a path I feel I can follow. I can follow it by putting forth self-effort. I can follow it in light of Gurumayi’s constant love and guidance. I pray that I can do this with joy and laughter.

From my point of view, this is a poem that is truly for our time. I think of our God of many names, worshiped by all, experienced as one. Gurumayi gives me great hope.

For me, this is so much more than a poem. With these words, I feel that Gurumayi is showing me a path to follow to achieve the “inner treasure.”

Reading this exquisite poem, filled to the brim with Gurumayi’s teaching and grace, a single word emerges for me: dharma. I feel excitement deep in my bones when I receive Gurumayi’s teaching that I am the designer of my own experience. My choices matter. I am the master of my ship. I’m excited about this in a contained and centered way. I feel inspired to gather my innermost power to make wise choices about where my thoughts go, what my body does, what words I speak. I will continue to pray for God’s guidance as the posture I take in my life gathers strength and steadiness.

Oh, what a beautiful poem! I read this in the early morning, and it gave me a glimpse of a supreme being who is everywhere and in everyone. I understood that this being is not bound in one form only.
