Tears of recognition well up in my eyes as I read this distillation of the Heart’s process. This poem is truly love put into words.

When I read this poem for the first time, I felt that each word was sweeping out judgment and attachment from my being. The next morning, as I was on the beach while the sun was just coming up and blessing the horizon with its golden rays, I started reciting this heart-opening poem. For the first time I really encountered a sandpiper! I had seen them many times at the shore, but this time I was experiencing their beauty. I was fascinated by this sandpiper’s walking speed and astonished by its rhythm matching the ocean waves. This experience unfolded many developments for me during the week and reenergized my spirit.
Meditating on this poem has become a part of my daily practice now, and the treasure I am receiving is immeasurable. I am so grateful for this additional golden nugget in my sadhana.

This beautiful poem is an answer to my deep longing to do my part to bring about justice in the world. Through reading Gurumayi’s poem, I understand that by connecting to my own heart and perceiving the goodness that already exists in the world, I will be able to act in ways that are most dharmic and beneficial. This poem made me breathe deeply and bow my head in gratitude.

When I found this beautiful poem, I glided into peace and bliss. The truth and simplicity of Gurumayi’s divine words stopped my mind’s stories and I experienced my true Self. Being in my heart has such a sweetness and a “just right” feeling. It feels so easy to connect to; I feel very much at home there. I’m so grateful to have the Guru in my life, to keep me connected to living in love and Truth.
I made a New Year’s resolution for 2019 that I would check the Siddha Yoga path website daily. I will follow my resolution and keep connecting—to the website, and to my heart.

I experienced Gurumayi’s poem “Heart-Bound” as a beautiful dharana, gently guiding me from the senses to “the center of my heart.” I felt my mind disengage from the perceptions and judgments of my senses, which allowed me to trust the truth of my heart. My mind came to rest in my heart the way a child rests against its mother.
Then my entire being softened as I understood in a flash that my heart has all the “senses” I need to experience God, to understand how to be in this world, and “to give and receive blessings.”
Thank you, Gurumayi, for your guidance and radiant blessings.

I receive this auspicious poem as a divine gift from Gurumayi. Reading it over and over again leaves me speechless and fills my heart with grace. When I connect to the center of my heart, I feel the divinity and radiance of golden light, and this even further uplifts my grateful spirit.

I have been thinking a lot about the title of Gurumayi’s beautiful poem, “Heart-Bound,” and its wonderful double meaning. For me it implies both a journey toward, and an unbreakable connection with, the Heart. I feel humbled by what I see I need to embody. And I am becoming aware of a practical way that I can move forward beyond my perceived limitations, of a shift in perspective that can bring me the experience of the divine. The poem reminds me that such a shift in perspective is not only a deeply worthwhile choice, but also one that is always available.
There is so much for me to imbibe here. I will be contemplating this poem for a long time. I’m so grateful for the ways that Gurumayi continuously opens my heart and mind to God with her words.

When I heard this poem the first time, I had the sense that everything would be dissolving, in the same way that the breath dissolves and is created again. When I read it the second time, I experienced unexpected blessings in a challenging situation. This poem by Gurumayi is, for me, the red focal point in the center of the yantra of Gurumayi’s Message Artwork for 2018. For me, it expands this tiny point into the infinite.

As I read each verse, I drop deeper and deeper into my heart. My thirst for understanding is quenched as I remember to acknowledge my heart’s presence, listen to it, and ask it to be my guide as I wend my way through this amazing labyrinth of my life. I know now that I am free to experience satsang in every moment.

When I read this poem by Gurumayi ji, I recollected many experiences and wishes that I have never spoken about to anyone, but have seen fulfilled.

As I find myself on the cusp of my 80th year, I ponder from time to time why I’m still here. I found an answer in the verse in Gurumayi’s poem: “By refreshing my belief in the goodness of the world… I feel that I am gifted with the ability to access the power to listen clearly, see accurately, and give and receive blessings.”
Truly, Gurumayi is articulating the words in my own heart.

My adult children and their partners have just left after a joyous and noisy visit over Christmas. As I waved goodbye to the last of the visitors, quietude descended, and I took the opportunity to visit the Siddha Yoga path website. There waiting for me was Gurumayi’s poem—the gift of her precious words.
I read the poem slowly a couple times, letting her words step into my heart, line by line, as I scrolled down. As I finished reading the poem, an impulse arose to send a “heart-bound” message to each of my Christmas visitors. So I sent a thank-you text to each person while bringing to mind, for just a few seconds, each one’s uniqueness and beauty. Through this simple, immediate response to Gurumayi’s poem, I felt I could share the love in her great heart.

The poem we received yesterday in the Universal Hall has been life-changing for me. I had the feeling that all aspects of my life, and my understanding of the Siddha Yoga teachings, can now fall under one heading, “Heart-Bound.” I am inspired to put Gurumayi’s poem into practice through effort and focus. I feel supported by our Guru’s grace to go deeper into the purity of my soul and the reasons for my life on earth.

This morning I awoke remembering a dream, in which I could see clearly what others could not see. In the dream, this was somehow very helpful in removing some of the pain and confusion in the world.
A little later I read Gurumayi’s beautiful poem, “Heart-Bound,” celebrating the power of always connecting with the heart—and I knew that’s what had happened in my dream. I know that we can live in such a sweet world when we always come from the clarity and benevolence of the Heart.
Thank you, Gurumayi, for this teaching and for leading us all the way there.

Gurumayi´s beautiful poem is such a wonderful reminder for me of the importance of making the effort to stay connected with the center of my own heart when interacting with people in the world outside. This connection softens my heart, sharpens and expands my perception and understanding, and makes the world feel sacred and magical, just as I experienced it when I was a child.

When this poem was read during the Christmas Day satsang called "In God’s Love," I felt immediately that it had all the answers to my prayers. To serve best is to be “heart-bound.” I will cherish these words as mantra and repeat them daily. For me this is the best Christmas present ever!
Thank you, dearest Gurumayi, for always answering my prayers in such a beautiful, inspiring, and loving way.

I was so deeply touched by Gurumayi’s poem. It felt like a glimpse into the sweetness, gentleness, and beauty of her heart and being.
And I could understand what she was expressing in her poem. My years of growing within the heart of the Siddha Yoga path have taught me about going back, again and again, to the center of my heart and about living from that space as much as I can.
I am so grateful for my continuing transformation, but even more for having the Guru in my life.
