Meditation Sessions 2020 via Audio Stream
Gurumayi Chidvilasananda gave the titles for the Siddha Yoga Meditation Sessions to support the study and practice of her Message for 2020. The meditation sessions are led by Siddha Yoga Swamis and other Siddha Yoga meditation teachers.

Session I: Calming the Mind, Quieting the Heart:Shānta-citta
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Swami Ishwarananda
This meditation session will examine the nature of the heart and mind within the context of the yogic tradition. You will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by learning why it is essential to bring the mind and heart into a tranquil state, and how the practice of Siddha Yoga meditation enables you to cultivate this tranquility and experience the Self.
Session II: Comforting the Mind, Reposing the Heart:Sukha-shānti
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Ami Bansal
This meditation session will explore the nature of the mind and how to calm its tendency to become caught up in distracting thoughts and concerns. You will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 through the practices of Siddha Yoga meditation and japa (mantra repetition) in order to lead the mind to rest in its source, the Heart.
Session III: Befriending the Mind, Putting the Heart at Ease:Sukha-sādhya
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Mehul Joshi
In this meditation session, you will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by learning about the meaning of sukha-sādhya and how befriending the mind leads to the experience of the Heart. You will also be bringing these insights to the Siddha Yoga practices of chanting the mantra and meditating as means of becoming absorbed in the easefulness that permeates the Heart.
Session IV: Relaxing the Mind, Accepting Good Fortune: Sukha-saubhāgya
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Aldo Colella Garofalo
In this meditation session, you will explore the integral connections between relaxing the mind, accepting good fortune, and experiencing the Self. Through this exploration and your participation in the practices of Siddha Yoga meditation and chanting, you will deepen your study and experience of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020.
Session V: The Form of the Goddess, the Form of Peace: Shāntirūpeṇa
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Pedro Sá Moraes
In this meditation session, you will explore the nature of the Goddess and how, through worshipping and meditating on the forms she assumes, you can guide your mind back to its source, the supremely free and blissful Consciousness that is the Self of all. You will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by chanting the mantra and meditating on the Goddess in the form of peace.
Session VI: Silence in the Mind, Blessedness in the Heart: Shānti-prasād
Taught by Sarita Baylin
In this Meditation Session, you will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by learning how, when the mind is absorbed in silence, the blessedness in the heart is revealed. You will also explore how engaging in the sounds and sacred qualities of the Bhimpalasi raga can lead the mind toward silence and how attending to these qualities supports the practices of chanting and meditating.
Session VII: Contentment in the Mind, Steadiness in the Heart: Sukhāsana
Taught by Siddha Yoga Meditation Teacher Yawu Miller
In this Meditation Session, you will continue your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by exploring ways to assume an easeful approach to meditation. You will practice leading the mind to contentment, allowing access to the innate steadiness in the Heart and an easeful inner posture. You will experience the support of this posture as we chant the mantra Om Namah Shivaya and meditate.
Session VIII: Ocean of Joy, Ocean of Peace: Sukha-sāgar, Shānti-sāgar
Taught by Lilavati Stewart Sutcliffe
In this Meditation Session, you will further your study of Gurumayi’s Message for 2020 by learning to access and experience the ocean of joy, the ocean of peace, that resides within, no matter where you are or what you are doing. You will explore how, through chanting the mantra Om Namah Shivaya and through the practice of Siddha Yoga meditation, the mind can merge into the space of the great Self, where joy and peace abound.
