I am grateful to Gurumayi for making such beautiful chants available on the Siddha Yoga path website, accessible from virtually anywhere and at any time.
Recently, I was traveling and boarded an early morning flight. In the midst of all the hustle and bustle around me, I took my seat and began to listen to this chant through my earphones. Within a few moments, I felt as though I was transported to a different place—one that was serene, silent, and filled with love.
Truly, I feel extremely blessed.

When I listen to this raga of Om Namo Bhagavate Muktanandaya chanted by Gurumayi, I envision her telling the story of how Baba tirelessly walked from village to village across India with great love and bliss in his heart. In each person that he passes, the light of Truth is ignited in their heart, and Baba’s “meditation revolution” spreads like wildfire over the land.

While listening to this beautiful chant honoring Baba Muktananda, I couldn’t help but feel the love Gurumayi has for her Guru. To me, the ornateness of this less common raga expresses the richness and breadth of Baba’s nature, and the peacock feathers adorning the post made me see colors in the pure tones of the chant.
This chant opens my heart to my love for Baba and for Gurumayi.

When I chant this namasankirtana, I envision a beautiful, slow, undulating sunrise. As the chant progresses, I notice the light brightening and changing color.
My experience of this chant represents to me the sunrise of Baba’s grace. During this month, I intend to return often to this recording and this visualization to celebrate Baba’s light in my life and in this world.
