As the spring season approaches where I live, I feel an inner call to chant the Arati Lijo along with the recording of the ensemble. I get so moved every time that I listen to its melody, and I am always touched deeply by the devotion that seems to pour from the poetic verses. I imagine the exquisite arati offerings described in the verses, especially “all the plants offer their blooms.”

What a joyful spring celebration it is to chant this arati. It feels like I am honoring the Guru as I sing. I experience that my heart blooms in tune with all the plants in creation.
