This
abhanga brought tears to my eyes!
The line “To be in the company of saints is the most precious of blessings” evoked memories of my visit to the shrine of Jnaneshvar Maharaj, who made the teachings of
Shri Bhagavad Gita readily available to seekers of God. I also remembered with gratitude visiting the shrines of Bhagavan Nityananda and Tukaram Maharaj.
And I feel extremely blessed to have been in the presence of Baba Muktananda and our living guide, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.
My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the many blessings in my life.

This is such a beautiful
abhanga. I love this verse so much: “To be in the company of saints is the most precious of blessings. In their venerated presence, the Lord revealed himself to me in my heart.”
I always feel that Baba revealed the Lord within me. I often feel Baba’s guidance and presence. Recently I received this inner guidance: “Do your practices because no one will come and complete this journey for you, but never feel alone. When you need something, ask and you will receive.” Feeling Baba’s company and experiencing the Lord he has revealed within my heart is the most precious blessing for me.

I visited the Siddha Yoga path website, as I do every night, and this
abhanga caught my attention. I read the words in English, and they seemed to sink in, soothing me, steadying my breathing. The words of Jnaneshvar have been very dear to me since my early days of walking this path—such beautiful language that leads me to God.
I listened to the
abhanga and then read the words in English a second time. I know that these words were what I needed to have a restful sleep. Tomorrow is my first day back to work after over a year of lockdown due to the pandemic. I have stayed steadfast throughout this time by performing my Siddha Yoga practices. I am grateful to Gurumayi for her grace, which supports me to meet the world again tomorrow with a light heart.

During meditation on this auspicious day of Gudhi Padva, I saw a flash of golden light like a really big, bright sun. During work I felt serene. Later as I sat quietly and turned inward, a sense of deep contentment poured down like nectar. This day is a golden day! I am so grateful to Gurumayi for the grace, the experiences, and the teachings of the great saints to help me recognize these gifts.

As I read in the fourth stanza, “To be in the company of saints is the most precious of blessings,” I reflected on Gurumayi’s visit to Canberra, Australia, thirty years ago. The blessings I received during that visit are immense, immeasurable, and everlasting. They have remained with me throughout my life.

I felt very moved when I read the words to the
abhanga Aji Soniyatsa Dinu this morning. The words, “The Lord revealed himself to me in my own heart,” resonated with an experience I had a few months ago while chanting.
At the end of the chant I felt a tingling in my body at the base of the spine. As this rose up within me, my heart opened and I felt love come pouring out. This love flowed out to the people in the room, to my family, and the whole world beyond. It was a beautiful, extraordinary experience. I didn’t know I had so much love in my heart!

abhanga by Jnaneshvar is just bursting with joy and that’s how I feel as I dance around the house and garden, while singing the words. "The clouds are opening their folds and showering their nectar down upon me" describes for me the abundance of grace that Gurumayi is bestowing on us with right now. Feeling that grace and knowing she is always with me no matter what happens—how can there be anything for me to worry about? In these strange times it is amazing that I feel so happy, so safe, so loved.

abhanga by Jnaneshvar Maharaj beautifully expresses the blessings we receive from the presence of saints in our lives. I have felt fully blessed by the recent presence of Shri Gurumayi so generously given to us via the Siddha Yoga path website.
This time in my life is unique and has become sacred. I wish to regard it as my precious spiritual retreat. My days are now adorned with chanting, reading the Siddha Yoga teachings, reflecting on them, and sharing with others about them. My cup is overflowing with the Guru’s love and grace.
