When I was in Ganeshpuri for a visit to Gurudev Siddha Peeth, I visited the Bhagavan Nityananda Temple in Ganeshpuri for the evening arati. I watched the murti of Bade Baba, sitting radiantly and looking at us with such innocence.

Hearing and singing the Nityananda Arati always connects me to him, and each time closer than ever before. Listening to this arati makes my soul dance and gives me eternal bliss.

Singing the Nityananda Arati always transforms my state. If I am feeling sad, the melody uplifts me. If am feeling alone, the image of Bade Baba reminds me that I am never alone, that he is always with me. And if I am happy, it elevates that happiness to new levels!

Singing the Nityananda Arati has given me comfort and strength in dealing with various health challenges.

The image of Bade Baba accompanying the arati, particularly his large hands held upright, inspires me to be more contained in my thinking and avoid engaging in nonproductive meanderings of the mind. I feel that if I focus and conserve my energy, my goals for healing will be reachable.

A few nights ago, I couldn’t fall sleep and kept tossing and turning for hours. After several such hours, I decided to do something more constructive with my time. It was 3:30 a.m. and I suddenly wanted to chant the Nityananda Arati from the Siddha Yoga path website. And so I did!

It was so peaceful, magical, and beautiful that at that point in time I wanted nothing else. I was in joy, at peace, and in total bliss—I felt one with Bade Baba’s love. In the morning when I got up, I felt fresh for the start of my day despite having slept only three hours. That was purely the magic of grace and the power of Bade Baba’s love!

    Mumbai, India

The Nityananda Arati is new to me. It opens a new vista of joy when I sing it. My earthly cares and woes are far in the background and the simplicity of sheer happiness envelops my being.

I am forever grateful for the melodious songs and hymns of Siddha Yoga music that reveal our true nature.

I experienced a profound connection to Bade Baba while listening to this arati. I am at peace knowing he is in my heart and with me always. This peace resonates between my mind and my heart.

With  much love and gratitude, I humbly bow to Bhagavan Nityananda.

Singing the Nityananda Arati and waving a flame to a photo of Bade Baba on the center of my puja has brought me an experience of formlessness during meditation. Immense love draws me to my heart center, and then I feel as though my form is dissolving. I am aware of no body, no thoughts, no distraction—only the subtleness of being.

Hearing and singing the Nityananda Arati makes me feel so happy! After singing this arati, my state of mind changes; he always gives me new life. It’s the magic of his great heart that in those moments, he makes me smile back at his sweetest smile, and I feel ecstatic.

At home, we have been singing this arati regularly. Today, my three-year-old daughter suddenly began chanting the refrain. Listening to her sweet voice and watching the way she was chanting, my whole being melted. I had the experience of Bade Baba’s blessings embracing my home, my family, my heart. I felt deep gratitude.

When my four-year-old son heard the Nityananda Arati for the first time, he loved it so much that he made me play it again and again. I lost the count after seven times! He was swaying in delight while sitting on the sofa next to me, as I too swayed. It was pure bliss to watch him so naturally and sincerely becoming inducted into this divine song of Bhagavan Nityananda’s name. His wonderment also pulled me deeper into the beauty of this arati.

As I hear the Nityananda Arati, I am reminded of the exquisite and exuberant aura of nature’s essence around Ganeshpuri. All creatures sing Bade Baba’s glory. It’s incredibly beautiful when we see him seated in his kingdom. I have meditated in Ganeshpuri and attended aratis, and I have always been filled with sheer love and joy. Shri Nityananda means “forever in bliss.” Singing his glory is bliss in itself.

    Delhi, India

Each morning I sing this uplifting hymn as I prepare my breakfast. As I sing it, I feel its essence of joy and exuberance bubbling and surging within me. Sometimes as I sing the final refrain, I dance with ecstasy in the solitude of the kitchen. I feel Bade Baba’s presence dancing within me while my heart leaps with gratitude for all he has given to the Siddha Yoga path.

Singing the Nityananda Arati on the evening of Bade Baba’s Lunar Punyatithi immediately transported me to a place of innocence and simple devotion within my own heart. It led me to understand that in this way we are all his children. I am deeply moved by the meaning of the words.

This morning, I rose early. In the still time of early morning, I sang this arati to Bade Baba. Then I meditated. As soon as I closed my eyes, I saw a velvet-like darkness, with a brilliant sphere of blue light. I sat in meditation, and the blue sphere never wavered, but slowly faded into a tiny point of light.

    I felt so deeply blessed.

In reading the English translation of the Nityananda Arati, this verse stands out for me: “You are very dear to children.” My eight-year-old daughter loves Bade Baba very much. She cares for the murti of Bade Baba at the local chanting and meditation group with great enthusiasm and attention. Bade Baba’s being is very real and alive for her. One of the sweetest ways I experience his presence in my life is through observing her connection to him.
