I first heard this chant when I was in Gurudev Siddha Peeth offering seva. I still remember it was on a Saturday evening when we were blessed with a special live chant. Immediately I dove into the chant and could feel it arising from the deep core of my heart. I was in bliss.

Now, whenever I have the opportunity to chant Shri Krishna Nila Krishna the same feeling arises within me. I flash back to chanting it that first time, visualizing the joyful atmosphere in the hall. As I do this, I send love-filled blessings to my grandchildren.

    Joy! It’s Lord Krishna!

As I heard this chant today, I felt a profound sense of peace. I felt that everything in this universe is perfect. I looked out the window, and the trees looked perfect, the raindrops looked perfect, the first spring flowers looked perfect. I felt that even I am perfect!

The chant reminded me of the value of equanimity, which Lord Krishna extolls in Shri Bhagavad Gita. When I practice equanimity, everything becomes perfect. Life takes care of itself.

What prasad! I chanted this during a walk in nature, then on the drive home facing the full moon in the clear, dark-blue sky. When I arrived home, I chanted some more, then savored the experience by meditating. Love and bliss pervaded my being from the top of my head to the tip of my toes. Insights arose which I will treasure, savor, and act on.

I had been singing this namasankirtana all week. It is so joyful and filled with love. Then I saw it on the Siddha Yoga path website. I love, love, love the times when such a connection happens!

Hearing this recording, I am immediately transported into a state of bliss. I remember chanting this namasankirtana with Gurumayi many years ago in Shree Muktananda Ashram, and feeling as if young Lord Krishna was indeed dancing with all of us. The scintillating melodies of this chant today have me feeling light and sparkly and full of joy.

For years I chanted this chant walking down the street where I lived in Florida. It aligned my heart with the goodness that floats within my being. After I had knee surgery and could not walk much for some time, I stopped chanting it.

Hearing this chant tonight for Valentine’s Day reminds me of the joyful, sublime feeling I had strolling down the street chanting and waving my arms in time with the chant. Now that I remember the words, I am gleefully chanting in my kitchen while I dance in circles.

I am so grateful to have this wonderful chant brought back to me so I can revel in that elation that I used to feel when chanting it. How beautiful this chant is—and how divine it is to keep these chants in my heart so I too can experience that sublime space of the Guru and the Siddhas.

As I meditated in the evening today, I saw Lord Krishna appear. He asked me, "Do you want to play the flute like me?" Those words are still clear to me and resonating in my ears. I lovingly replied, "Yes, Lord Krishna," and he smiled.

What a beautiful day this is today, full of love. A Valentine’s Day when Lord Krishna, the epitome of love, talked with me. This beautiful chant put a sweet smile on my face. I felt a beautiful silence, a beautiful love, and bliss.

I felt so good after this chant. I couldn’t stop myself from singing it.

    Jaya Lord Krishna!

    a seven-year-old from Mumbai, India

As I chant along here, my heart is filled with love and gratitude, and I remember an experience I had in 1989. Just as this namasankirtana was starting, Gurumayi walked into the hall, and in that moment, I prayed for an experience of the ecstasy of chanting.

As Shri Krishna Nila Krishna progressed, I had a vision of Lord Krishna. He was so handsome—deep blue, bedecked with jewels, surrounded by golden light. And he seemed very pleased with the chanting. As the chant got faster, he started to dance with joy and abandon. My whole being felt suffused with love and bliss.

I am so grateful to Gurumayi for introducing me to the treasure of chanting.

I am amazed and deeply moved by the many artistic ways Gurumayi supports my sadhana—through songs, poetry, visual arts, musical arrangements, and more. This composition of Shri Krishna Nila Krishna is a perfect example for me of one way she shares the blessings and ecstasy of the path of the Siddhas with me and with all of us.

I’m immensely grateful to be on this path.

Listening to this beautiful chant in honor of Lord Krishna evokes joy and brings quietude and sweetness to my heart. I clearly can see Krishna when I repeat each word of this chant and celebrate his existence. The chant also reminds me of the power of the Siddha Yoga spiritual practice of chanting.

Thank you, Gurumayi, for teaching us this practice and for your gift of this celebratory and joyful chant.

Today, as I prepare for a long journey, I turned to the Siddha Yoga path website for inspiration. The joyful and loving sounds of the namasankirtana enveloped my heart in a profound sweetness. It seemed that Lord Krishna himself was playing with my heart-strings, reminding me of the eternal victory of love over fear.
